These Aloha Chicken Sliders are stacked with teriyaki-marinated chicken, caramelized pineapple, crispy bacon, and a dreamy teriyaki mayo. Sweet, savory, and wildly addictive.
If you’ve ever blacked out at a party and realized you’ve eaten six sliders standing over the kitchen counter… these are those sliders.
These Aloha Chicken Sliders hit that dangerously perfect sweet-and-savory balance – juicy teriyaki-marinated chicken, smoky bacon, caramelized grilled pineapple, all piled onto soft Hawaiian rolls and slathered with a slightly unhinged amount of teriyaki mayo. They’re sticky, messy, a little over-the-top, and exactly what you want when “just one” isn’t even remotely realistic.
These are seriously, wildly addictive.
They’re easy enough for a weeknight, but let’s be honest – they shine brightest when you set out a tray and watch them disappear in minutes. Cookout, game day, random Tuesday where you need a win… these deliver every single time.
And if you decide to add jalapeños, hot honey, or go full chaos mode with one of the variations? I support you.
Fair warning: these disappear fast.
Why You’ll Love Aloha Chicken Sliders
- Sweet + savory perfection (pineapple + teriyaki = no notes)
- That crispy bacon situation? Non-negotiable
- Perfect for cookouts, game day, or “I deserve something fun tonight”
- Somehow even better after sitting for a few minutes and getting a little messy
I made my own rolls using this recipe, but you don’t have to. You could use store bought Hawaiian slider buns, or even regular slider buns if you don’t like the sweetness of the Hawaiian rolls.
Tips for Maximum Deliciousness
- Don’t skip grilling the pineapple — it takes it from “nice” to “why is this so good??”
- Slice chicken thin so every bite gets a little of everything
- Use thighs if you want juicier meat (and honestly… you might)
- Double the teriyaki mayo. Trust me. No one has ever said, “wow, I wish there were less sauce.”
🔥 Unhinged Aloha Slider Variations
1. Spicy Pineapple Heatwave
Because sweet + spicy is a personality trait.
- Add thin-sliced fresh jalapeños or pickled jalapeños
- Swap teriyaki mayo for: mayo + teriyaki + sriracha + squeeze of lime
- Optional: drizzle with hot honey at the end (yes, really)
👉 Result: sticky, spicy, sweet, and slightly aggressive
2. Sticky BBQ Teriyaki Mashup
We’re crossing flavor streams and not apologizing.
- Brush grilled chicken with a mix of teriyaki + BBQ sauce in the last minute of grilling
- Add crispy fried onions for crunch
- Use smoked bacon if you really want to commit
👉 Result: smoky, saucy, backyard chaos in sandwich form
3. Hawaiian Pizza Energy (but make it correct)
We’re reclaiming pineapple here.
- Add a slice of provolone or mozzarella and melt it over the chicken
- Add a little thin-sliced ham with the bacon (yes, both)
- Finish with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes
👉 Result: everything people argue about, but suddenly… it works
4. Tropical Crunch Situation
Texture lovers, this one’s for you.
- Add a quick slaw: shredded cabbage + carrots + rice vinegar + pinch sugar + salt
- Swap mayo for teriyaki-lime crema (mayo + lime juice + teriyaki)
- Toss in some crushed macadamia nuts or crispy wonton strips
👉 Result: bright, crunchy, “why can’t I stop eating this”
