I’m Shea Goldstein.
Want to know a little about me and my little space of the web called Dixie Chik Cooks? First and foremost, YES, I say “hey” and “y’all”. I’m a polished Southern belle.
I started the blog in September of 2010 as a way to chronicle my recipes for my family, and it transformed from a hobby to a business. It’s my passion and I love being able to do what I love best.
I absolutely adore food, and cooking is my therapy. There’s just about nothing I wouldn’t put a jalapeno on. Burgers are my love, and I simply CANNOT learn enough in this vast and beautiful culinary world. I’m self taught in the kitchen, as well as in photography.
All photos on this site are taken by me, unless otherwise noted. I shoot with a Pentax K-r, which has been my baby since the beginning, but at this moment I’m shopping for a new camera. Update: I now shoot with a Canon EOS M50. If you have any questions about use of either camera, please feel free to send me an email to shea (at) dixiechikcooks (dot) (com) – I’m constantly learning.
