At the risk of sounding like I’m totally fawning for a basting brush I love your whole aestethic! We are FB friends and I think your name, vintage photo and blog are so hip. Your photos are incredible. It’s like going on vacation to come spend time on your site. Love other cool chicks who blog!
Thank you so much!! *blushing*
This giveaway has ended, but go to the latest post where you can comment to win a Pampered Chef rotary grater! Good luck!

Very nice! I’d love to win, all my kitchen utensils have bite marks in them or are finding theire way into the sandbox. 🙁
Great giveaway! Perfect for the holiday! There is nothing like a perfectly basted turkey! YUM!
Great blog and what a perfect giveaway for the Holidays! Happy {early} Thanksgiving!
I can’t wait to make Apple & Pumpkin Spice Muffins for Thanksgiving morning! So warm and fluffy. . .yummy.
I can’t wait to make my pumpkin cream cheese bars. They will not last long since I am having all of my kids home this year….
See we generally go out with friends for Thanksgiving since they are a family of two and we are a family of three. At my parents place where Thanksgiving was 20+ people, it made sense to cook a big meal. Not so much with a small household.
I always used to make a savory steamed carrot pudding as a side dish for Thanksgiving. I would love to make it this year but it seems the recipe is lost. I have been searching for itand if anyone has a recipe I would very mnuch appreciate if they would share it with me. Thnx [email protected]
Is it bad that I’m really hankering to make some sort of bacon-y roasted brussels sprouts?
definitely it’s my pumpkin tiramisu pie taking center area at the dinner table. Recipe in my blog (new recipe sharing to all)
I can not wait to make my Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake! In the short five years that my husband and I have been together, that has become my traditional item that I bring to the family get-togethers. And it is always much anticipated! In fact, my mother-in-law always asks to make sure I remember it. 🙂
I love winter squash soup, can’t wait to have this for Thanksgiving.
Which ONE recipe? 🙂
The extra dark, sticky, chewy gingerbread! Nice giveaway. Thanksgiving always reminds me of the turkey baster story. When I was about 7 I found a thing in my mom’s kitchen drawer that was perfect for sucking up tadpoles (I’d catch them then try and raise them). At Thanksgiving I watched my mom use my tadpole catcher to squeeze juice on the turkey. I exclaimed, “That’s what I use to catch tadpoles!” The look she gave me was priceless. 😀
LOL!!! That’s great!!
OMG I love sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top. The only day you can have sweet potatoes with marshmallows is Thanksgiving.
What I’m most looking forward to making is some good, old-fashioned green bean casserole. I can’t get enough of those french fried onions that you put on top!
I hope I am not too late! I have just put the kids to bed and now have time to respond. I personally am excited to try my hand at a cranberry relish. I love cranberries and think that I may have a trick or 2 up my sleeve to make them sing. I promise to blog about them. I am crossing my fingers for the basting brush! 🙂
Definitely my favorite homemade frozen crescent rolls!
My Scalloped Potatoes!! This dish is a bit heavy for everyday but PERFECT for special occasions! Whenever I make it, it is such a hit I get tons of recipe requests!!! My Secret??? 1. A blend of White Cheddar, Swiss and American cheeses. 2. An Onion Ring Crust (chop frozen onion rings, sprinkle on top of scalloped potatoes for the last 20 min of baking. I will definitely blog the recipe after Thanksgiving!
I love giveaways. thanks
Rhonda
I can’t wait to have the sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping. No one in my household likes this, so I get to indulge once a year 🙂
Another treat is the homemade dinner rolls *drool*
I’m very excited to make stuffed mushrooms. It’s a recipe that has been in my family for who knows how long. It’s regular white button mushrooms stuffed with a sweet Italian sausage combination. I always have to make them in large quantities since they go fast!
I always look forward to making the dessert! Pumpkin cheesecake has been requested, and I might make an apple tarte tatin. 🙂
Definitely pear-cranberry-crisp. It’s light and delicious.
I can’t wait to make chocolate panini. They are similar to dinner rolls, the dough is not too sweet but there are chocolate chunks inside. Last year they were a hit!
Ooo, I’m all about the pies. I still have to narrow it down from the 20+ I have bookmarked. But I’ve got a few weeks, right? 🙂
It might sound non-traditional, but I’m looking forward to making a chocolate french silk pie! Plus November 10th is my birthday 🙂
I love roasted brussel sprouts at Thanksgiving!

I can’t make to fresh cranberry orange sauce. I love the tart and sweet flavors.
Thank you for the add.
My greatgrandmother’s overnight fruit salad…it’s a tradition!
sweet potato/yam and walnut salad!!! <3
I am dying to make a pumpkin pie with a ginger spice crumble topping! Pumpkin pie is the one thing that can’t be missing from my table for the holiday or it doesn’t feel complete.
It such a major holiday in the States compared to Canada, and I can’t wait to check out your Thanksgiving post.
I am excited to try the vanilla caramel pear tart from this month’s issue of Bon Appetit! I think it would be perfect for Thanksgiving!
Monica @MacaroniKidNYC
That sounds awesome! Let me know how that turns out!!
Stuffing… ah how i love stuffng!

Hello. First of all, thanks for the add at foodbuzz.
Even though Thanksgiving isn’t celebrated in the UK, I’m having one anyway… ‘an all-day eating celebration?’ I’m not gonna miss that.
I’m gonna continue reading your delicious blog now 🙂 Michael
I know Thanksgiving must have big bird Turkey to go with it, but may give the bird for a change to chicken instead? This is a Chinese way of Thanksgiving recipe 😛
A fast and easy way to prepare a simple steamed chicken using rice cooker.
Clean chicken, pat dry with paper towel, then rub and massage the chicken with sprinkle of salad oil then seasoned with salt, pepper and chicken stock powder, left for at least an hour.
Sprinkle some salad oil in the rice cooker and add in a few slices of ginger and place the chicken on it. Close the lid and switch on. Once the switch pop up for the first time (about 15 min) turn the chicken to other side and switch on another time. When the button pop up for the second time, test the doneness by toothpick, once clear juice coming out the chicken is ready, else leave the chicken to simmer until pass the tooth pick test.
Sprinkle some spring onion and let it simmer for another 5 minutes then take out and serve. You can replace with chicken drumsticks instead if the bird too big to fit in your rice cooker.
I can’t wait to make pumpkin cheesecake for dessert! Great giveaway. And thank you for the friend add as well. You have a lovely blog here.
thanks for the fb add!
can’t wait to make my october soup http://www.haggisandherring.com/2009/10/dans-october-soup.html
Woot! Woot! turkey time!
Definitely dessert! I’ll probably make my usual apple pie (my hubby’s favorite) and a pecan or pumpkin pie. Best part of the meal in my opinion ; )
thanks for the add! ooooo nice giveaway!
I can’t wait to make that sweet potato dish with the melted marshmellows on top because I always love to eat it but this is the first time I’ll be making it. I’d like to funk it up maybe with some kind of liquor and spices like nutmeg and cinnamon, and make it a nice balance between sweet and savory.
Mashed turnips!!! too bad my husband and kids can’t stand them!

I love making cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving…I’m from Texas, so that’s what we eat with turkey. It’s so good…it’s not Turkey Day without it!!
I CANNOT wait to make my Potato-Crimini Gratin! So delicious and easy 🙂
I won’t be home for Thanksgiving this year, but the thing I will miss the most is anything with pumpkin or sweet potatoes. It’s always the thing I most look forward to. It’s not Thanksgiving for me without pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce.
