Menus For Your Labor Day

There’s no better signal to the end of summer other than Labor Day.

Pools start to close, it’s school shopping time and it’s (well, normally would be) time for football kickoff.

As much as I love grilling and making lots of food for Labor Day, it has always been a little sad because summertime is my favorite time of year, as well as my children’s.

In Alabama, the weather can be, at times, predictably unpredictable, so it can be hard to gauge simply by weather.

We can have snow in the spring, 80 degrees on Christmas, and sometimes a season will forget its job. Like when a warm front comes through in February and ends up picking up all the slack making it summer from February all the way through October because winter decided not to come back. And that’s basically because winter is a real asshole.

These crazy and sometimes inconvenient weatherisms are what is called “OIA” or Only In Alabama.

Ok, enough of all that.

Since we’re honoring our American workers for their pursuit of national prosperity, that means we’re gonna celebrate it. Since we’re celebrating it, that means FOOD.

Need some help for your Labor Day menu?

I’ve put together a couple of menus that you can print out together to take with you to the store, or just to have in front of you while placing your delivery order. I’ll never shop any other way again. NEVER.

Each photo is clickable and will take you to the recipe, and feel free to pick and choose, or even from the rest of the site. I wanted to make something that would be easy to find and print, and be a no-brainer for extra busy peeps that have no time or desire to think about what to make.
