This is the cutest little drink.

I recently met a friend for a drink and apps, and while we were ordering I realized that I don’t have a “signature drink”. I mean, I guess it doesn’t have to be “signature“, but I don’t think I actually have a favorite.

I love margaritas, but really only when I’m eating Mexican food. A good dirty martini is fantastic, but we’re not exclusive. I don’t do pina coladas; that shit is too sweet and heavy, and mojitos are just ok. Usually, if I can’t make up my mind I’ll order a cranberry and vodka, sometimes with pineapple or lime.

So, I decided I wanted to play around with some combinations and make my own. You know, for shits and giggles. It had to be summery, because summer is my very favorite season.

After toying with vodka, flavored vodkas, whiskey, white and dark tequilas, juice, soft drinks, crystal light, etc. I found my taste.

Sparkling mineral water, lime, muddle kiwi and white tequila. It’s so fresh and bubbly and just the right amount of sweet. I love the kiwi in this.

The ratio of kiwi to lime is about 2:1. The kiwi needs to overpower the lime here.

The rim is adorned with Tajin. If you’re not familiar, Tajin is a seasoning blend with lime, chili peppers and sea salt, and they actually sell a salt rimmer here.

I didn’t even know about this until my son told me about it – he dips apple slice in it, and it’s good

I like it because it’s different, a little bubbly and has a little kick. Crushed ice also plays a part in how good this is – that combined with the muddled kiwi is so damn good. If your freezer doesn’t make it throw some in your food processor, it works great.

Here’s your printable –
