Everything Bagel Salad Dressing

Everything Bagel Salad Dressing is a creamy, delicious dressing that tastes like the bagel but dresses a salad up like ‘hot damn’. The seasonings are so perfect in a salad dressing.

I named it what it is…or, so maybe I should call it Everything But The Bagel Dressing…

Regardless, this is one of the best dressings I’ve ever made. Probably ever had.

I think what prompted me to make this dressing is my Everything Bagel Cheese Dip I made a few years ago. It has been one of my very favorite dips, and has been pretty popular on the blog.

Remember? This is so good. Make sure to save it and pin it in case you haven’t already.

Because I like “everything” stuff so much…

I decided to make my own damn Everything seasoning! I honestly don’t know why I didn’t think of that before – it’s so easy. I’ll give you the recipe below, and more than likely you already have all the things you need in your pantry. Poppy seeds, black and white sesame seeds, onion flakes, dried minced garlic, and sea salt.

Do you know where this brilliant idea came from? I don’t either – but when you try to find out, it’s just not clear cut. Apparently, a couple of different New York bakers have claimed to have created the concoction.

I mean, come on.

You would think the person that really had this light bulb moment would have retained a license for the love of God.

I’m just glad someone thought of it, because it’s brilliant.

So, after making the dressing, the first thing I put it on was a sandwich, despite the fact that my plan was a salad. Yep, it ended up being on a sandwich. It was slathered on a pastrami and Swiss and it was so damn good.

That’s the thing about salad dressings; they aren’t designed for one purpose. No matter what dressing or sauce, I usually use it as a dip for whatever it is I’m eating. They’re dips, they’re a spread, a salad dressing, they’re even mixable with other condiments. I’m such a condiment whore.

What I love about this dressing is how in the middle it is as far as viscosity; it’s not too thick and not too thin. You know how some dressings are so heavy it just defeats the purpose of eating a salad? Like blue cheese dressing – I LOVE it, but it’s SO heavy.

This is just perfect.

Recipe lists “vinegar” and then specifies, “apple cider vinegar”. What type vinegar?
