The Ultimate Cheeseburger

The Ultimate Cheeseburger is a double decker fork and knife burger, with two types of cheeses, pickles, lettuce, tomato, pineapple guacamole, grilled pineapple, and more. It’s messy, juicy and so absolutely delicious.

I just can’t even with this.

Ok, well, I guess can.

The Ultimate Cheeseburger

What is The Ultimate Cheeseburger?

This is really an exaggerated version of what I think an ultimate cheeseburger is – I think I kinda lost my mind for a minute.

I actually made this burger after a day of grilling burgers and had lots of leftovers, and an imagination a little bigger than my stomach.

The version I initially made was kind of thrown together, and I could not get over how fantastic the flavors were together.

Obviously, I had to document it.

You can make this on a smaller version with all of the flavors, of course.

I didn’t even know what to call it.

It’s like a Big Mac, but more severe in flavor.

With grilled pineapple.

Oh, and Ranch dressing, amongst other things. I know how some of you are about Ranch, so of course just sub in mayo.

Or hot sauce.

Aren’t you surprised there’s no jalapenos??  Yes, this is gluttonous, but sometimes, you gotta just eat what you want or crave.

I seasoned the burgers with Moore’s Teriyaki marinade , and it gives the burger a unique, unexpected flavor.

You gotta shake things up every now and then.

The Ultimate Cheeseburger
Oh, and the pineapple….AND the pineapple guac.

Let’s not forget the pickles, they’re Nathan’s New York Half Sours. I mean, I honestly don’t even know what that means. Half sour and half not? I just know that they’re very, very good.

What’s your idea of an ultimate cheeseburger?

The Ultimate Cheeseburger

Yield: 6 burgers
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes

A double decker cheeseburger with two cheeses, pickles, lettuce and tomato, grilled pineapple, pineapple guacamole and more!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground round, Italian sausage and Moore's.
  2. Form into 8 burgers and grill or pan fry until done; add cheese slices and leave on heat long enough to melt.
  3. Add pineapple slices to grill, and remove when burgers are done.
  4. Build burger by stacking in whichever order you prefer.

Notes

* For a low carb version, replace the hamburger buns with iceburg or bibb lettuce leaves and omit the pineapple.

* It's not necessary to grill the pineapple, but grilling brings out the natural sweetness and the texture is better.

* Feel free to substitute or add mayo, ketchup, mustard, etc.

My gosh! This looks so delicious – even though it would feed our entire family, I doubt even one of us would share – YUM!

This burger looks heavenly. We are having burger tonight for dinner and I think I’m gonna give this burger a try.

If you truly ate this “Andre the Giant has King Kong’s baby” hamburger then you are a grown ass woman with hair on your back. It’s a beauty alright, but it’s enough to feed the Brady Bunch.

Hell yeah I ate it. Maybe in a couple of sessions. But I ATE IT!
