Teriyaki Sesame Meatballs

Well, damn.

Just when I thought I had figured out the best way to use Moore's Teriyaki Marinade.

Go here to see what I mean.

I won’t deny the fact that I love Moore’s . They may or may not know it, but I’m kinda family when it comes to the company. I do absolutely LOVE their sauces and marinades – I seriously choose them hands down over Dale’s. No bullshit there.

I recently did a cooking demo locally at a farmer’s market and made these meatballs.

Let me just tell you…

Although they loved my Watermelon Bruschetta, they really loved these. These became the star of the cooking demo show.

Teriyaki Meatballs
Like really, seriously LOVED these.

And they’re so simple. They loved the fact that I browned them for a minute, but threw them in my crockpot to simmer for a few hours.

That makes life easy.

Everybody likes easy. Feel free to sub ground turkey or chicken for the beef, but if you do put them in the fridge for about half an hour before you brown them.

Ground poultry tends to fall apart more easily than beef.

Some ideas for these meatballs –

  • Over rice and add in chopped onions and bell pepper, and a can of baby corn.
  • Lettuce Wraps
  • Teriyaki Meatball Sub with Sesame Slaw
  • Teriyaki Meatball Noodle Bowl – add sugar snap peas

Here’s your printable –

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients

Instructions

Combine ingredients (with only 1/2 bottle of marinade) by hand or in a mixer; form into 1 inch balls.

    Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

You can bake these, or put them in the slow cooker. I prefer the latter, because they're more tender and taste better.

To Bake: Preheat oven to 375 degrees, add meatballs to a prepared baking sheet, drizzle with remaining marinade. Bake for 25 minutes, or until done, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Slow Cooker: Combine meatballs and remaining marinade in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 3-4 hours.

Notes

*I make a double batch, and added about 1/2 water. You may need to add a couple of tablespoons of water with one batch to make sure the meatballs have enough liquid.
