Sparkling Creamsicle Cocktail – And Me, Myself and I Link Up

A while back, I received a package from the kind people from Sweet ‘n Low . They sent me a shaker full of samples, recipe cards and coupons. I have created quite a special drink for y’all.

I’ll share recipe that in a minute.

But for now, here’s a fun little linky party-type-thingy I stumbled upon on while reading Heavens To Meighan. She’s my cousin/sister; if I haven’t already told you. Which I’m sure I have.

Let’s get started, shall we? (so we can get to the cocktail, right?).

What was your favorite gift given to you as a child?

Well, I would have to say my first Cabbage Patch Doll. I was a child of the 80’s and those were pretty much like crack then. Mothers were straight up street fighting over them in local K-Marts. I was 10 years old, and I felt pretty lucky when I opened mine that year. I did have a significant anxiety attack that morning before the formal opening-of-santa-presents, to be honest with you.

Christmas is almost here, what is that one Christmas song you could listen to on repeat?

Anything that comes out of Michael Buble or Bruno Mars’ mouths.

What are a few of the items on your Christmas list this year?

I don’t really want anything. On a very serious note, I wish for some kind of peace to be laid upon the families’ hearts of the Connecticut shooting. I know they are hurting so very badly right now and it breaks my heart.

Do you and your family have any special holiday traditions?

We always put our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving, and it’s something we all look forward to. And, of course, we have Jackson. He’s the highlight of the Christmas season for us. The kids roll their eyes at me when he gets mischievous….because they are, after all, 14 (tomorrow!) and 16.  Sometimes he makes me question my sanity.

Which do you prefer: Wrapping paper or gift bags?

That would definitely be wrapping paper. I love the act of wrapping gifts; it feels festive. And I like to see people wrestle with whatever it is they’re trying to open.

Thanks to My Beautiful, Crazy Life for the fun linky!

Thanks Jen! It tastes just like the popsicle 🙂

I love wrapping gifts too… especially because we come from a line of women who use WAY more tape than necessary.

      Very true lol…
