Hope: A Bake Sale For Natural Disaster Victims

There really are no words to describe what Alabama went through on April 27th.

Our President visited Tuscaloosa to view the worst hit area in the state and offer his condolences.  His words were “In a matter of hours, these deadly tornadoes … took mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors, even entire communities,”.    The tornado that hit Tuscaloosa could have been on the ground for 176 miles according to NOAA, with winds exceeding 260 miles per hour making it an F5 storm.

I personally have friends and family members who were affected by these storms.  Two weeks later, I continue to hear new stories of tragedy; whether it be a loved one fighting for their life in the hospital or a family still missing.

To see video footage of some of the aftermath of this nightmarish storm, go here or here.

The loss of life and property here in the south is astounding and heartbreaking.  Help is desperately needed.

As Sunny said on our ICM website, we wanted to do something to contribute to these victims and you can help too.  Please join us.

My offering for this bake sale are my PB&J Bars.  When I made these the first time my husband said, “This are literally the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in my entire life.”

I take it he likes them.

What a noble cause! I am not a baker, so I can not donate baked goods, but I wish you the best of luck and pray for those who were affected.
