Buffalo Chicken BLT

Buffalo Chicken BLT

This Buffalo Chicken BLT has to be one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever, ever made.

If you’ve been following DCC for any length of time, you’re familiar with my sandwich affinity. Now I don’t have an affinity for every single type of sandwich. However, there’s something so beautiful about a well made BLT. The bacon has to be crispy, the lettuce fresh, and the tomato ripe (but not too ripe!).

I was craving one a while back and things just kinda got out of hand.

My 16-year-old daughter was the hand model in this shot. She HATES meat of any kind – refuses to touch it, let alone eat it. She was so sweet to help me out.

Then she started to gag a little bit because one of her fingers almost touched bacon.  ← Yes, that happened.

I just don’t get it. Why do teenagers have to be so damn dramatic??

She’s in denial about the fact that at age 2 1/2 she would eat a McDonald’s cheeseburger and enjoy it.

How To Make This Buffalo Chicken BLT

This sandwich went from being your basic BLT to a buffalo BLT on steroids.

Instead of regular white bread, I decided on toasted Texas toast because I knew adding buffalo chicken would require a heartier vehicle. I added a little buffalo sauce to the mayo essentially to carry the buffalo flavor throughout the sandwich. You know, so you don’t forget that it’s there.

I have a very special place in my heart for buffalo chicken, and the combination of it with the BLT is magical and just downright amazing.  I also chose to go with Texas toast – this needed something a bit more sturdy than plain ass white bread.

It did not let me down.

This looks ravishing! I hated bacon as a kid. Now I can’t get enough of it. Or it of me! Yes. Definitely deserving of china!

The teen drama is related to the dark nail polish. They eventually outgrow it! Going to get some bread for Texas Toast; got everything else right now!

Thanks Janet! Yes, I agree about the nail polish!!

The most telling thing about this divine sandwich is that you served it on China. Outstanding.

Thank you Adam, the taste is really off the charts. It deserved China 🙂
